Overview

Project Papaya is an internal initiative at Legwork conceived and led to productize the production process and execution of healthcare client websites on the Legwork platform. In phase one, we were able to deliver the Guava App which is geared towards content ingestion and platform transition.

  • Legwork is a platform aimed at providing healthcare providers and practices a unique web presence through which they run their practice, manage communications and provide HIPAA compliant digital services to their patients.  Prior to Project Papaya, the execution for each customer was manual and required custom work by Legwork designers and frontend engineers, equating to an average of 50+ hours of labor per site without the ability for sales to provide a site preview.

  • Project Papaya was conceived to provide a product solution that would streamline execution by reducing manual labor and improving site customization, as well as automating content ingestion and visual design styling sitewide. By productizing the execution process, we were able to not only increase the speed-to-market of each delivered site, but the sales team would also be able to provide the customer with an early preview.

Through Project Papaya, the Guava app was built and the sales team was able to increase new customer onboarding from 13 per month to more than 30 per month; and ultimately resulted in a 200% reduction in production staff labor. Project Papaya has been temporarily paused through the pandemic, however, a roadmap has been identified to mature the offering into a final product, the Papaya App.

    • Read client-specific submitted details regarding their practice, staff and services

    • Manual override of client data

    • Export XML file for content import containing personalized pages, services based on form input

    • Scan current website and generate CSV used for URL redirects

  • As the Production Design Lead, I had been responsible for the execution of healthcare client sites and quickly recognized the limitations of the existing process, the size of our team, and how this hindered our sales team.

I conceived a product vision to build a software solution that would ease these pain points internally, meet customer needs, as well as drive revenue for Legwork through the ability to scale. To inform my product proposal, I gathered input from the sales team and production teams and conducted customer needs research and analysis.

My product proposal was presented directly to the CEOs and included product OKRs, roadmap, resource plan, and the budget required for execution. Project Papaya received a green light and I was asked to step into the role of Product Management Lead, UX/UI Creative Director, and overall Program Manager for an independent product team resourced against the initiative through the delivery of Phase One – The Guava App.
